The secondary academic Project, PIBID-Dance/Unicamp, is part of an Institutional Teaching Scholarship Program that has as its financial entity, CAPES (Coordinating organization for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel). During PIBID’s second year (2015) the emphasis was to improve the training of the teacher-artist in Dance education, upholding the pedagogical parameters of the Dance Teacher Course.
Since its creation in 2014, PIBID has taken significant and assertive actions for their scholarship students in order to practice teaching in grammar and middle school levels, specifically in art classes for grade school’s 1º to 5º year, within the public state school system of Campinas. The program promoted the “First Week for Dance and Education – DACO/UNICAMP”, in addition to presenting the scholarship student posters, participates in the Brazilian Association of Research and Graduate Studies in Performing Arts (ABRACE), and in the VI National Reunion of Teachers (ENALIC)/ IV National Seminar of PIBID. In 2015 the “First PIBID-Dance at Schools Week” occurred and consisted of audiovisual presentations displaying the workshop conducted by the scholarship students in body and musical appreciation in the schools associated with the program.
