Graduation requirements
Master’s Degree – 88M
The master’s course lasts a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 30 months.
To obtain the Master of Visual Arts degree students must:
Complete a total of 18 credits as described below:
Supervised Activities I – 3 credits,
Supervised Activities II – 3 credits,
Research Methods and Techniques – 3 credits
Electives – 9 credits
(taken in the actual program, in other UNICAMP graduate programs or in other institutions provided their graduate programs are recognized by CAPES);
Pass the qualifying exam following completion of all credits (the exam should preferably be taken by the third semester of the course);
Pass the public defense following submission of the dissertation.
Doctorate – 106D
The doctoral course lasts a minimum of 24 and a maximum of 54 months.
To obtain the Doctor of Visual Arts degree students must:
Complete a total of 21 credits as described below:
Supervised Activities III – 3 credits,
Supervised Activities IV – 3 credits,
Supervised Activities V – 3 credits,
Research Methods and Techniques – 3 credits
Electives – 9 credits
(taken in the actual program, in other UNICAMP graduate programs or in other institutions provided their graduate programs are recognized by CAPES);
Pass the qualifying exam following completion of all credits (the exam should preferably be taken by the fifth semester of the course);
Pass the public defense following submission of the thesis.
